On 29 January 2026, a new Travian Kingdoms Test gameworld opens with two clear goals. The first is to test upcoming anti-bot and fair-play gameplay changes planned for the Dynasty gameworld. The second is to give you an early look at our improved mobile browser experience and gather direct feedback.
This Test gameworld allows us to validate these changes under real gameplay conditions before they reach future live worlds.
Important: The Test gameworld cannot be started on a mobile browser. Please start on desktop first and continue playing on mobile afterwards.
A strong focus on fair play
Some long-standing systems, especially Treasures and raiding, have room for improvement when it comes to fair competition. In particular, highly optimized and automated farming patterns can create advantages that go beyond what is realistically achievable within normal activity windows.
The upcoming adjustments are designed to reduce these extremes while continuing to reward activity, coordination, and strategic play. Both changes are intended for Dynasty and are being tested together to better understand their combined impact.
Fairer Treasure Battles
The Fairer Treasure Battles system is active on the Test gameworld. Treasure fights are more balanced between kingdoms, and coordinated Treasure transfers are reduced.
Treasure gains and losses scale with Victory Points, encouraging battles between evenly matched rivals.
For a detailed explanation of the mechanics, please read the Fairer fights for Treasures section in the linked blog post.
More balanced raiding
Raiding is a core part of Travian Kingdoms, but its efficiency has increased to a point where resources can be gathered continuously across many targets. This allows automated play to extract resources at a scale that is not realistically achievable within normal activity windows and puts pressure on fair competition.
To address this, the Test gameworld introduces a daily loot limit per player, keeping raiding rewarding while ensuring more consistent progression.
Daily base loot limits on x5
On the x5 Test gameworld, the daily base limits are:
- Week 1: 50,000 resources
- Week 2: 125,000 resources
- Week 3: 250,000 resources
- Week 4: 375,000 resources
- Week 5 and onward: 500,000 resources
The limits increase quickly and are set high enough to allow efficient farming throughout the round.
If an attack would exceed the remaining daily limit, only the allowed amount is looted and the rest stays in the defending village. NPC villages are not affected by this limitation.
The daily limit also scales with attacker ranking points. This rewards activity and encourages a balanced approach between raiding and attacking.
FAQ
- Which villages are affected by the daily loot limit?
Only player villages count toward the daily loot limit. NPC villages, including Nature (Oases), Robbers, and Natars, are not affected and can always be looted without restriction. - How do attacker ranking points affect the daily loot limit?
Each attacker ranking point increases the daily loot limit by one resource. These additional points are added to the limit in the following week, not immediately. - What happens if my villages are raided?
If your villages are looted, the resources you lose are added back to your daily loot limit. This allows you to raid those resources again, plus your regular daily limit. - Do resources from tributes count toward the daily loot limit?
Yes. Resources gained from tributes count toward the daily loot limit. Treasures do not count toward the limit. - Is the daily loot limit per attacked player?
No. The daily loot limit is your total daily cap. All resources you loot from any targets are added together and count toward the same limit.
Improved mobile gameplay with the mobile browser version
We know that mobile gameplay has not always met expectations. While the mobile app offers convenient access, it does not support the full range of gameplay features available on desktop.
With this Test gameworld, we invite you to try Travian Kingdoms directly in your mobile browser. The redesigned mobile browser version aims to provide a more complete experience, with improved navigation, broader feature access, and a responsive interface optimized for smaller screens.
Your feedback is essential. Tell us what works, what does not, and which features matter most to you when playing Travian Kingdoms on mobile.
Please note that the mobile browser experience is a work in progress and will continue to evolve based on your feedback.
Mobile browser testing notes
On this Test gameworld, we are also sharing the first results of our recent work on usability and accessibility for mobile browsers. While this is still a work in progress, we are looking forward to your feedback to help us decide where to focus next.
Please keep the following points in mind when playing on a mobile browser:
- The mobile browser experience is work in progress and not all interactions are fully optimized yet.
- You cannot start playing on the Test gameworld from the lobby using a mobile browser. Please start the gameworld and complete the tutorial on desktop first. After that, you are welcome to play on the Test gameworld as much as possible using a mobile browser.
- For the best experience, please play in landscape mode (holding your device horizontally).
- On iOS, full-screen mode is currently not available. We are aware of this and are looking into solutions.
- We officially support the mobile versions of Chrome, Firefox, and Safari. Other mobile browsers may work as well, but are not fully tested.
- In some cases, input fields may not be fully visible when the on-screen keyboard is open. We know this can be inconvenient, especially when writing chat messages. Some operating systems offer a floating keyboard, which can help in these situations.
- Mobile browsers use caching. If something does not work as expected, especially after updates, please try clearing the browser cache. Clearing cached website data and images is sufficient, you do not need to clear history or saved passwords.
- Troubleshooting:
- Refresh the page.
- Open the Test gameworld in a new tab or re-login via the lobby.
- If the problem persists, please contact our support team.
Important notes for the Test gameworld
- The new texts introduced on this Test gameworld are available in English only. Translations are planned for the Dynasty gameworld based on the results of this test.
- Champions are not available on the Test gameworld.
- The new texts are designed for desktop gameplay and the mobile browser experience. They may not be fully available in the mobile apps during this test phase.
